Back in March 2009, I blogged how someone in the US was offering to send people free postcards. I’d signed up, but was waiting to see if anything came of it. Turns out, something did.
Todd Jordan did what he said he would do, and about a week later (delayed as he’d been at SXSW) the following postcard arrived:
“Hope you like this card. The Arch is one of our most famous local attractions. Yours, Todd.”Simple, but effective.
Todd had also suggested that I could send him one in reply. Unfortunately, Basingstoke is a little less touristy than St. Louis and finding a postcard of Amazingstoke took a fair bit of effort. I even had to put a request on Twitter to see if anyone else knew of somewhere that sold suitable postcards. Eventually however, one was found:
I’ve not heard from Todd if mine got there or not, but no reason to think it didn’t. If you want a postcard from somewhere different, then just ask Todd.

My apologies. I did receive and was quite pleased with the card.
Lovely place and now another place i’ll have to visit when I get across the ocean.
I do look forward to more card exchanges with people and I’ll definitely do a better job of cataloging those I receive.
Cheers from the Midwest USA.
